marisol ramos is a chicana writer from texas who spent most of her childhood jotting down her innermost thoughts onto whatever scraps of paper she could find. she earned her bachelor of arts in english from texas lutheran university and her master of fine arts in creative writing from southern new hampshire university.

writing has always been an integral part of marisol’s life but after she lost her brother in 2011 it became more than just a past time; it saved her. through poetry, short stories, and even a novel manuscript she was able to work through the complex emotions of grief and keep the memories of her brother alive.

she likes to explore topics of complex relationships, grief, sexuality, motherhood, self-worth, and mental health in her work.
